Jamie Tomelty (right) has joined Lurgan Celtic as they begin preparations for their debut in Championship 1.
The former Linfield, Portadown and Dungannon Swifts midfielder will be a huge asset to the team says manager Colin Malone.
“Getting a player of Jamie’s experience and quality is a massive coup for us,” said Malone.
“I’m thrilled at getting Jamie on board and he is just the type of player we need at this level.
“We lost Daniel Ryan who has gone to Dromara Village, but we may be able to add one more new face before the season starts.
“If we don’t, I am happy with the squad we have. We will also have a reserve team this year which will give players the chance to get games when necessary.”
Malone is working on his pre-season and hopes to arrange games with Glenavon, Portadown, Dungannon and Cliftonville.
Dollingstown have released details of their games which include:
Saturday 4th July away to Rathfriland Rangers; Thursday 9th away to Broomhill; Saturday 18th home to Orangefield; Tuesday 21st home to Ards; Thursday 30th away to Dunmurry; Saturday 1st August away to Desertmartin; Tuesday 4th home to Valley Rangers.
On the team front, the Dollybirds have lost Gareth Ringland and Michael Fegan to Lisburn Distillery while Neil Clydesdale has gone to Banbridge Rangers.
Manager Gary Duke is in talks with a few players and aims to bring in up to four new players.
