Lurgan Town Under 14s started a new venture last Saturday in the National League when they played Cliftonville at Mallusk with the Town running out 7-4 winners.
Despite going a goal down Lurgan levelled when Sammy Davidson volleyed the ball into the box for Oran McGuckin to head home. Oran got his second shortly after with a third coming from captain Josiah Burgess via a penalty.
Oran then added the fourth and his hat-trick. Chris Mallett grabbed the fifth with a shot in at the near post. After this Lurgan lost their team shape and let Cliftonville back into it with two goals. Lurgan then grabbed a sixth with a defender trying to clear a cross but headed into his own net. Cliftonville scored a fourth before Joshua Millar scored a fine solo goal dribbling round a couple of players before chipping the keeper for a final score of 7-4.
