King Kenny gets strong arm treatment
LOCAL strongman Kenny Emerson finished with two runner up trophies in Ireland’s Arm Wrestling Championships.
Kenny wrestled his way to the final of the both the left and right arm events in the heavyweight class, but was beaten by Neil ‘Hammer’ Beggs in both finals.
The arm wrestling event was held in the Flagship Centre in Bangor.
The 27-year-old from Derryadd made his debut in strongman competitions this time last year when he competed in Ulster’s Strongest Man.
His raw power has impressed Ulster’s best known strongman Glenn Ross, and ‘The Daddy’ has taken him under his sizeable wing.
Kenny is a regular attendee at Glenn’s ‘Daddy Day Care’ training facility where Glenn has given him the nickname ‘King Kenny’
Having fared well in the Ireland’s Arm Wrestling Championships Kenny will again be taking part in Ulster Strongest Man this year in Cookstown.
