The Lurgan Tigers under 15’s A team made it three wins from four matches when they travelled to Wallace High School to take on Lisburn last Wednesday evening.

Batting first the Tigers scored a very competitive 122 from their 20 overs. Jonny Hunter (14) and Callum Gibson(50) put on 37 for the first wicket before Hunter was caught trying to hit over the top off the bowling of Glass. Scott Wilson added 16 before he was caught and bowled by the same bowler. Following Gibson’s mandatory retirement after reaching his half century it fell to Lewis Lawson and Nathaniel Ferris to see out the innings. Both players scored quickfire 10’s to take Lurgan to their run a ball total.

In reply, Lisburn struggled to get any momentum going. Jonny Hunter struck in his first over and Callum Gibson in his second to leave the home side on 7 for 2.

Further wickets were to fall to Nathaniel Ferris, Qasam Mohammad and Lewis Lawson.

However, over of the day went to Max Lyttle. He took wickets in consecutive balls to close out the innings and leave himself on a hat trick the next time he bowls.
