THE Bulldogs Kickboxing Club enjoyed great success during its “Fight Night” at the Forresters Club, winning three Northern Ireland title fights.

With 14 fights on the bill it was a busy night for everyone involved in running the show.

The club’s young fighters kicked off the night with a fantastic display of kickboxing, with all of them winning their fights.

The supporters were then entertained by the Bulldog seniors, some of whom were taking part in their first ever fight. The seniors put on a great show for the crowd.

Following the under card billing of the night, local fighters Chris Lewseley, Sean Montgomery and Shane Ginesi all fought in the Northern Ireland Title main event fights.

First up was Chris Lewesley, weighing at 60kg and up against a fighter from Antrim, with experience in both mixed martial arts and kickboxing.

Chris took part in one of the fights of the night and won on a split decision over five rounds.

Next was Sean Montgomery who weighed in at 64kg. Sean also faced another Antrim fighter with experience in mixed martial arts and kickboxing.

The Bulldogs fighter won the best bout of the night and won the Northern Ireland Title on points over five rounds.

Finally, it was the big boys turn. Shane Ginesi was up against a fighter from Belfast and both fighters entertained the crowd in five great rounds of kickboxing.

It was a tight decision for the judges but Shane came out on top in a points decision.

With all three fighters winning Northern Ireland Title belts, the Bulldogs Club enjoyed a hugely successful night.

Not many clubs can claim to hold three ISKA titles, so all credit to the boxers who trained seven days a week, in what was a tough two months.

The club owner Uel Wallace, would like to thank the coaches who gave up their time to train the fighters over the past two months, in a great effort.

Also a big thank you the sponsors who helped put on these fights - without them the club could not have put on the event.

A special thank you must go to those who gave their time to help out set up the event.

Finally, thank you to the supporters who turned up in their hundreds to cheer on the fighters.

For anyone wishing to take part, the Bulldogs Kickboxing Club run junior nights on a Monday and a Wednesday from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Senior training sessions take place from 7:30pm-8:30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights.
