Lurgan Rugby and Cricket Club, in partnership with Lurgan Ladies Hockey Club, is currently working on plans which will lead to the redevelopment of the facilities and land at Pollock Park over the next five years.
The vision is to develop Pollock Park as a quality sports and social facility which will meet the needs of the community.
As part of this process, Lurgan Rugby and Cricket Club, with assistance from Lurgan Ladies Hockey Club, is carrying out a survey of the community that live within a one mile radius of Pollock Park.
Volunteers from the clubs will be visiting households within this designated area between Monday 12th May and Friday 23rd May.
The survey will provide residents with the opportunity to have their say on what additional activities and services Pollock Park could offer. This aim was emphasised by Ian McMurray, Chairman of Lurgan Rugby and Cricket Club, who commented:
“First and foremost we are a community based sports club. Our vision will be shaped by the views and opinions of the local community. I would encourage you to complete the survey and tell us what we might do at Pollock Park which would meet your needs and those of your family.”
All surveys will be carried out anonymously and the information provided will be treated in strict confidence used only by the clubs to shape their development plans.
Your support and co-operation will help to ensure that Pollock Park will be able to provide activities and services that will not only benefit households around the area but the whole community in Lurgan.
If you require more information on the survey please contact Graeme Hunter, Lurgan Rugby and Cricket Club Development Manager on 07763910565.
