In just 12 months Lurgan singer Emma Horan has shot to fame by showcasing her talent online.
Emma took her first steps into the music business as a schoolgirl experimenting with her own style of ‘mash-up’ featuring popular songs and soon caught the attention of a over 100,000 followers across the UK.
As it stands, 16-year-old Emma has had over 450 thousand views on Youtube and made it to number three in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts with her cover of Little Lion Man.
She’s just been announced as the support act for Janet Devlin’s tour this December in Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast on Monday, December 22, and in Strule Arts Centre, Omagh on Tuesday, December 23.
Emma said: “I am super duper excited about supporting Janet on the tour, it will be such an amazing experience. She’s an amazing lady and I’m honoured she asked me to support.”
Emma loves performing live and has grasped the opportunity to sing for audiences at every chance over the past year, performing on the MAC Music Tour and returned twice to sing alongside X Factor contestant Giles Potter. Emma will soon be performing at the opening of the Belfast Children’s Hospital Pantomime.
Whilst juggling GCSEs, Emma has been diving into artist development under the professional guidance and mentoring of Generator NI and has been putting pen to paper writing her own music.
