WARINGSTOWN man NJ McClean launched his first album ‘Candy Apple Red’ with the help of Artists United group members to an enthusiastic audience in Gilford Community Club Hall last Saturday night.
He was supported by special guest Big ‘O’, who entertained and gave a great performance.
NJ’s album is a mix of personal songs and tunes developed from a long history of writing and playing in bands over the years.
The event was well attended and a great night had by all.
NJ (short for Noel James) was delighted with the evening and the turn out.
‘Candy Apple Red’ can be downloaded from iTunes or by contacting NJ at email@example.com
NJ names Mark Knopler as one of his greatest influences on the music scene
He considers his family and friends his inspirations for some of his lyrics and extremely supportive with making the album.
He is married to Janet and has three grown-up children and a grandson.
He has been a member of Artists United for around two years. Artists United is a group made up of musicians, singers, storytellers and poets who support and encourage each other to develop their talents and gain confidence which can then be taken into the public arena.
