Great start to year in Market Place Theatre

THE Market Place Theatre in Armagh is kicking off the New Year with a unique new drama and fantastic comedy. So if getting out and taking some time to yourself are part of your plan for 2013, get yourself along to The Market Place.

‘Oliver Reed; Wild Thing’ will be staged on Thursday, January 10 at 8pm. Tickets are priced £12.50 and £10.50.

In this blistering solo show, join legendary hell-raiser Oliver Reed as he knocks back a few drinks and shares his incredible life story. From the boyhood excitement of learning he was a descendant of Peter the Great, through the success of Oliver!, boozy adventures with Keith Moon and disastrous chat show appearances – this was a life well lived. But though Ollie may appear an unstoppable force of nature, this is Malta in 1999, and time is fast running out for the ‘Wild Thing’. Rob Crouch brings Reed back to vivid life in this swaggering, brilliant evening of entertainment.

In ‘DelaMere Mortal’, Neil Delamere, the writer and presenter of the IFTA award-winning ‘The Only Viking In The Village’ and star of RTE’s ‘The Panel’, BBC’s ‘Fighting Talk’ and Channel 4’s ‘Stand Up For The Week’ figures out which is the better version of himself - idealistic teen or world-weary adult. There might even be some embarrassing footage. Book now to catch one of the country’s finest comedians at his hilarious best. This event will take place on Friday, January 11 and Saturday, January 12 at 8pm. Tickets are priced £20 each. Tickets for all events can be booked by contacting the Box Office on 3752 1821 or online at
