End product doesn’t live up to hype

Foo Fighters made eight documentaries to build up to the release of their eighth album.

Eight tracks were recorded in eight legendary studios in eight cities steeped in musical tradition.

The programmes really whet the appetite for an epic album but the result is good to average with only the opening track living up the hype.

The legacy of Sonic Highways will be the well documented process of the making of the album and not the end product. GC
