Drink driver spends Christmas in police cell

Police arrested a motorist in east Antrim on Christmas Eve for driving with excess alcohol.

Commenting on the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “They have spent their Christmas Eve night and Christmas Morning in the cell.

“On top of that they now have a charge sheet to appear in front of a local Magistrate.

“Never ever drink and drive.”
