Generous donation for Carrick beavers
The Carrick branch of Sainsbury’s donated copies of the Bumper Book of Summer to 4th Carrickfergus Beavers last week.
The book, which contains a large number of boredom-busting activity ideas and recipes, was on sale at the store throughout the summer.

“We’re very grateful for the donation of these activity books, which we will look to use for future fun-days and events,” said Sharon Maxwell from 4th Carrickfergus Beavers. “They’ll help our staff here to create some great action-packed days for everyone.”
The books were presented on Friday of last week at St Nicholas Church Halls by colleagues from the Rodgers Quay store.
The donation of the books is just one of the ways of building the store’s partnership with the Beavers, with their next planned activity to involve the launch of Active Kids and Fairtrade Fortnight in the new year.

There’s lots of great activities in the book which can be used throughout the year and we look forward to helping 4th Carrickfergus Beavers do some of the boredom-busting ideas in the coming months.”
