Gifts presented to Houston Hoey
Huston Hoey was ordained to the ruling eldership in Glenwherry Presbyterian Church on 26th June 1966 and took up the position of clerk in 1978.
He has faithfully served His Lord and Saviour for 50 years as a ruling elder and 38 years as Session Clerk.

Hide AdSenior elders, Mr Hill Hamilton, Mr Huston Hoey, Mr James Owens, Mr Henry McConnell, Rev Noel Mulholland and Mr Tommy Moorehead, made presentations to Mr Huston Hoey to mark his retirement from the position of Clerk of Session.
After a bread and broth lunch on Sunday, November 20, the Kirk Session presented Huston with a Bible to mark 50 years of service as a ruling elder.
The congregation of Glenwherry Presbyterian Church also presented him with a beautiful painting in appreciation of 38 years faithful service as Session Clerk.
Noel Mulholland, Minister Glenwherry Presbyterian Church said: “ The retirement of Mr Hoey, our highly esteemed session Clerk after 50 years service as a ruling elder, 38 years as Session Clerk, was a momentous occasion in the life and witness of Glenwherry’s congregation”.
Mr Huston Hoey will now be succeeded by his son, Mr Andrew Hoey.
