Observe earth awaken to welcome in Spring
Memories are a treasure time cannot take away,
Let’s hang on to the ones that cheer and bless,
If we can leave frustrations and unpleasantness behind.
‘Twill keep us on the path of happiness.
No, it does not take a special time
To just sit back and reminisce,
Or bravely try to trace the rainbow
Midst the dark and troubled skies.
Though the days are cold and wintry
And the outlook misty and grey,
We need not allow the outward appearance
To undermine our peace today.
‘Tis good to see the evening’s light,
Let’s give ear to the birds that sing
And observe the sleeping earth awaken
To welcome the sweet touch of Spring.
