Detectives from the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force seized approximately £3,000 in cash following a vehicle search on the M1 Motorway on Sunday May 5.
A statement from the PSNI issued this morning said the money was seized under the Proceeds Of Crime Act.
Detective Inspector White said: “Our operations will continue into paramilitary groups and they can expect no let-up in our focus regarding their criminality.”
