In reply, Muckamore made a defiant 197 in 38 overs, but still lost by 80 runs. Phil Kernaghan was the most successful bowler with 3-31, followed by Josh Cowan with 2-27, while Peter Shepherd, Charlie Munro, Clarke, and Carlisle chipped in with one wicket each. The run out was caused by Rhys Wallace with a neat return to wicket keeper Stuart Hull.

On Sunday, the Seconds were unable to make it back-to-back Junior League Section 3 wins when they were beaten by nine runs by leaders Derriaghy Seconds.

This was the Junior League Section 3 match of the day involving the two top teams, and both displayed their batting prowess at the compact Queensway ground, with the home side posting a formidable 154 for 5 in their 20 overs.

The wickets were taken by Cowan (2-18), Munro (2-41) and Kernaghan (1-29).
