Lisburn fall to Oriel
LISBURN are out of the IIBA Men’s Inter Zone Championship after falling by 13 shots away to Oriel in the quarter finals on Saturday.
At the interval Lisburn were six shots down though they won on two rinks, but the only second-half winner was Paul Reid as Lisburn slipped to a 13 shots defeat.

Hide AdDessie Hamilton’s rink did not really get going against a strong Oriel four and lost by 12 shots.
In a low scoring game Nick Haire was 7-5 ahead going into the last end when he dropped a shot to get home by a shot., but it was close throughout.
Gordon Stubbs had the edge in the third first half game after starting with a double and leading 6-2 at the sixth he won by five shots.
After the interval Noel Graham was 4-5 down when he dropped a six at the eighth before losing by five shots.

Hide AdPaul Reid had a tight battle but was ahead when dropping a three at the ninth to make it 6-6. Lisburn came back with a winning double.
In the other game Raymond Stubbs was 1-6 down at the fourth and lifted a three before dropping a three to eventually lose by four shots.
