60-year-old photograph brings back memories for Jim Thompson
Prompted by the regular nostalgia pages now being featured in the Londonderry Sentinel, Jim Thompson, a resident from Jack Allen Court in The Fountain Estate, brought the photograph in to the Sentinel office last week.
The back row shows, from left, Jim Jefferson, a cousin of Jim’s. Next is Dan Thompson, Jim’s great-grandfather, and far right is Cecil, Jim’s brother. Pictured on the front row is, from left, Bertie Jefferson, also a cousin of Jim’s, and brother of Jim Jefferson, behind him. A youthful looking Jim Thompson is seated beside him, and next to Jim is Roy Thompson, also a cousin of Jim’s. Right on the end to the right-hand-side is William Thompson or WS Thompson as he was better known.
