Man charged after vile tweet about wee Jay Beatty
Football fans yesterday united against a Twitter troll who called young Celtic fan Jay Beatty a “disabled piece of s***”.
The 11-year-old Lurgan lad, regarded as an inspiration to many, was at Parkhead on Sunday to receive his goal of the month award.

Hide AdHe scored a penalty at half-time when Celtic played Hamilton last month.
Jay got huge cheers from Celtic and Aberdeen fans as he received his trophy.
But after the match, a troll posted a picture of the lad and wrote: “Disabled piece of s***.”
Another tweet from the same account read: “Gonna beat that spastic Jay up.”

Hide AdPrevious tweets targeted Celtic captain Scott Brown, whose sister died of skin cancer, and late Hoops manager Tommy Burns.
On our Facebook page, Jay has received lots of support and many have condemned the offensive remarks.
