Police warning follows Mourne Road burglary

Police are urging householders to check the identity of callers before admitting them to their homes.

The warning follows a burglary in the Mourne Road area of Mourneview at approx 3.40pm today (Thursday).

A male person pretending to be from the Water Service gained entry to en elderly person;s home and stole certain belongings.

A police spokesman said: “Please remember to use the services of Quick Check before admitting anyone into your home.
