Dollingstown working hard both on and off the field in pre-season preparations

The latest addition is a new clubhouse which club members have been working on since the end of last season.

On the pitch, the challenge is to win promotion at the first attempt, but they know it will not be easy as the Mid Ulster set-up they left three years ago is much more competitive.

They will compete in Intermediate A along with Ballymacash Rangers, Banbridge Rangers, Camlough Rovers, Crewe United Fivemiletown United, Hanover, Moneyslane, Seapatrick, St Marys, Tandragee Rovers, Valley Rangers and Windmill Stars.

The pre-saeson programme continues with Dungannon Swifts visiting Planters Park on Saturday.

The Dollybirds are also at home to Desertmartin on July 26, home to Glentoran Under19s on Saturday, July 30 and finally at home to Annagh United on Tuesday, August 2.

Dollingstown lost three players to Lurgan Celtic - Richard Thompson, Jordan Gibson and Adam Rodgers making the switch to Knockramer Park.

However, manager Gary Duke has brought in seven new players including Jake Redpath from Rathfriland Rangers and Dean Smith from Annagh.

The current squad is now around 16 but Duke is aiming to complete his summer search with two more new faces before the action gets underway on August 6.
