Babar show bound for the Waterside Theatre

They’ll be presenting their popular interactive music and storytelling concert ‘Babar the Little Elephant’, straight off the back of a successful tour of North East England and the Scottish Borders.

According to the Big Mouth Piano Tales production company: “There is so much to tell about how Babar escapes a hunter in the Great Forest and goes to live with the Old Lady in the town, before returning to his fellow elephants and a wonderful surprise.

“Let’s hope there are some good dancers, singers and actors in the audience to help Frances (Big Mouth) and Mark (Professor Piano Tales) with the story - they will need to become camels, birds, monkeys, and (of course) elephants!

“Babar the Little Elephant is a fully interactive concert for children (aged 4-7) and their families, combining storytelling, music performed by an international concert pianist, and plenty of opportunities for the children to come on stage and join in with singing, acting and sound effects.

“You’ll never have been to anything quite like this before. It’s a bit like live Wii with Karaoke mixed in for good measure – but it’s all live and silly and, well – you have to be there!”
