Packed programme for Brownlow Festival

Brownlow Festival kicks off this Friday with the screening of three films in the car park at the Community Hub from 11am.

This week-long festival which will runs to September 6 will offer a range of activities including a fun day at Brownlow Community Hub, intergenerational tea dance, drama production and an action packed water themed event at Craigavon Lakes.

There will also be a number of football tournaments at Craigavon Leisure Centre, Parkmore MUGA and Ardowen MUGA and bowling at St Saviour’s Church.

Brownlow Library plays hosts to a number of events including several events for children as well as an ‘open mic’ session for local teenagers to come along and show their musical talent, an adult storytelling session and the first anniversary meeting of the Knit and Natter group.

The festival finishes with a celebration at the lakes boasting dragon boat racing, archery, fishing, music, a barbecue, climbing wall and a fancy dress competition.

The festival has been supported by Peace 111 Southern Partnership (Future Foundations priority).
