Lambeg players take to the stage in traditional panto style

LAMBEG Players return to the Lagan Valley Island Theatre in January to perform in Aladdin, a spectacular pantomime by Bruce Gardner.

In true panto tradition there will be lots of laughs, popular songs, booing, a bit of mischief and, of course, a lot of romance from Wednesday, January 2, until Saturday, January 5.

After weeks of rehearsals the show is ready, and you don’t want to miss it. Come along and see all the panto characters played of course by local favourites, Laura Kerr; the Bennington Brothers; Sarah Beattie and Karen Webb. Starring in the role of Aladdin is local girl, Joanne Law with Caroline Webb playing Princess Li-chee and Wilnor Tennant as Widow Twanky.

Of course Lambeg Players is not just about performing. They support a number of charitable causes from the proceeds of the pantomime. In recent years the group has raised in excess of £80K. Among the charities to benefit this time are Oasis Village Trust who build homes for orphans in Zambia and “Outreach Amazon” which works with Street Children in Brazil.

This year Lambeg Players will be supporting local charities Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice and Lupus UK.

When Christmas is all over why not take time to relax and enjoy a night out with family and friends. Book now to avoid disappointment.

Evening shows start at 7.30pm – Saturday matinee starts 2.30pm
