White Lies bid to reach the Big time
Big TV, the third album by London three-piece White Lies, is a tale of two halves.
It opens with the sky-scraping title track and stunning first single There Goes Our Love Again. The momentum barely flags with First Time Caller while Getting Even, released as a free download at the height of summer, is as good as anything they’ve ever written.
But the catchy Be Your Man apart, the second half strives hard to grab your attention without ever really succeeding.
