iRemember, a major European storytelling event, will be held by The Playhouse on Friday, October 2, in partnership with Italy’s University of Rome as well as the theatre’s other partners in Romania, Spain, Armenia and Portugal.

The iRemember project seeks to develop and share new ways of teaching and learning storytelling techniques and employing storytelling as a means of exploring contemporary history.

Experienced collectors and tellers of stories will feature at the event, offering interactive storytelling sessions and presentations incorporating music, theatre, multi-media, and discussions forums.

“This exciting event will offer all those in attendance the opportunity to get involved and offer their own thoughts and experiences of stories and storytelling,” Playhouse community relations officer Dr Liam Campbell said.

“Any Individuals interested in life writing, storytelling, and the worth of memory and lived experience are most welcome - as is anyone who uses storytelling in education – the iRemember event further welcomes current students, teachers, and practitioners of active learning to come along and play a part.”

iRemember is funded by the Italian government through the EU ERASMUS+ funding.

If you are interested in taking part in this fun, ground-breaking event, just get in contact with the Playhouse on 02871 268027 and ask for Dr Liam Campbell – or email [email protected].
