The Boot Camp, which takes place on September 23 at the Craigavon Industrial Development Organisation (CIDO), will provide delegates with an in-depth focus on key issues faced by company directors - including legal compliance, strategy and corporate governance.

Through a series of informal masterclass sessions, a number of leading business directors from the private, public and social enterprise sectors in Northern Ireland will share their personal experiences, as well as outlining steps that can be taken to avoid behaviours that can lead to corporate governance failures.

Chief Executive of CIDO, Brian Hunter said: “We are glad to have the opportunity to team up with the IoD for the Directors’ Boot Camp, which is a great initiative that can help our local business leaders gain an invaluable insight into strategic business leadership.

“It is vital that Northern Ireland’s business leaders are continuously expanding their knowledge and skills. The Boot Camp offers new and existing executive and non-executive directors a chance to cultivate and enhance their professional development and manage their business even more successfully.”

“The IoD places a significant emphasis on nourishing the development and skills of our business leaders, similarly we at CIDO aim to innovate, incubate and accelerate business for the good and growth of the Northern Ireland economy.

“I encourage any director to take advantage of this fantastic and free opportunity as it will develop their skills and inspire others to follow suit.”
