9yards Architecture received ‘Best for Extensions & Remodelling’ by digital building magazine, Build, in its Architectural Awards 2015.

The annual awards are dedicated to uncovering and rewarding the very best in technical innovation, design and service from across the United Kindgom construction and property industries.

The prize winners are chosen by a panel of researchers and architectural experts.

9yards was shortlisted based on reviews and nominations from a number of its recent clients in the Greater Belfast and North Down areas for work ranging from conservation area projects to modern rejuvenating extensions.

The work included conceptual and detailed design, statutory approvals and project management.

Colin Logan, 9yards design director, said: “It’s great for our work to be recognised by this award. All designers take pride in the quality of their work, so to have it appreciated and nominated by clients is especially exciting.

“We enjoy and give 100 per-cent to every project we work on and I’m absolutely delighted that our clients are pleased with the end results. We’re delighted to call ourselves ‘award-winning designers’.”

The practice was shortlisted in early September for the category Extensions and Remodelling before being declared outright winners.
