Together, with the help of their teacher Mrs Neill and staff, the group managed to raise a fantastic sum of £683.

Parents, pupils’, the Mayor, councillor Michelle Knight-McQuillan and other invited guests enjoyed a morning of tea, coffee and buns, with the added excitement of a raffle to finish the event off.

The students, Chloe Johnston, Tammy Rodden, Joshua Ferguson, Owen McCartney, Paul Douglas and Chloe McMullan worked tirelessly to make sure the day was a success.

Their planning included; sending letters of invite to parents, VIP’s, requesting donations from staff, making and buying decorations for the hall, producing publicity materials, sourcing and buying food and drink for the event and setting up the hall on the day.

All this hard worked paid off and the students were excellent and dutiful in their roles on the day. Congratulations to all involved!
