Do you want to be a Superstar?

ANDREW Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical Jesus Christ Superstar is coming to the Riverside Theatre in January - and you have an opportunity to be part of it.

Ballywillan Drama Group has secured the performing rights to the first production in Northern Ireland since the huge Arena Tour of Superstar toured the UK.

Rehearsals commence on Thursday, September 19 and Ballywillan would welcome anyone wishing to be part of this wonderful family show. Whilst the top principal cast are already in place, there are many opportunities in the Adult Ensemble, Disciples and Mary’s Girls.

Last January, this award-winning group staged the All-Ireland Premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Whistle Down the Wind to huge success in the Riverside, securing five musical theatre nominations including “Best Show”.

Continuing their working relationship with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Ballywillan is pleased to be bringing Jesus Christ Superstar to Northern Ireland in early 2014.

With a top line-up of musical theatre talent, specially commissioned costumes and a spectacular signature set, this is a show that will be one of the biggest shows in Northern Ireland and a treasured memory for years to come.

Director and Producer, Brian Logan said: “Jesus Christ Superstar has a huge following and there must be many people who have harboured a desire to take part in the show.

“I would love to see as many people as possible at our first rehearsal on Thursday, September 19 at 7.15pm in Portrush Primary School, Croc-na-mac Road.”
