Traditional Unionist Voice (TUV) MLA Jim Allister asked the Minister how many students from a Roman Catholic and a Protestant background have applied for a place at each university campus in Northern Ireland in the past five years.

Dr Farry said his Department does not hold information on the religion of applicants to university but does, however, hold information on the religion of Northern Ireland (NI) domiciled students enrolled at the NI Higher Education Institutions.”

He provided information for the number of NI domiciled students from a Catholic and a Protestant background enrolled at the University of Ulster broken down by campus.
