440 negligence claims against Western Trust
FOUR hundred and forty professional negligence claims were pending against the Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) at the start of December.
This was greater than in any other Health Trust except Belfast were 900 negligence claims were in the legal pipeline.
Other legal claims open at November 30 included 67 Employer's Liability Claims and 17 Occupier's Liability Claims.
Health Minister Michael McGimpsey revealed the figures in response to a question tabled at the Stormont Assembly.
