54 crimes reported at Magee campus

FIFTY-FOUR crimes were reported to have occured on the University of Ulster Magee Campus between 2008/9 and 2010/11, the PSNI has revealed.

The force provided details of recorded crime identified as having occurred at University campuses in response to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.

There were 28 crimes at Magee in 2008/9; 12 in 2009/10; and 14 in 2010/11.

The total number of crimes recorded at Magee over the past three years was less than the number of crimes recorded at Queen’s in 2008/9 (56 crimes); in 2009/10 (71 crimes); and in 2010/11 (77 crimes).
