Members of the Lodge made their annual trip to the expansive outdoor military installation and museum for their annual act of Reflection and Remembrance, at which a wreath was laid. The picture shows Bro Wor David Canning, Bro David Ramsey and WM Bro Thomas Crawford at the World War One commemoration at Dunree Fort, erected in memory of their brethren and all those from the Inishowen peninsula who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

“When the call to arms came many of our members answered that call and enlisted in the service of King and Country,” said Bro Canning, continuing: “Of the 16 members who volunteered, six were to make the Supreme Sacrifice far from their native land. Many of the others were wounded in action. We acknowledge the debt we owe to those we remember in this Roll of Honour and indeed to all those men and women from throughout the island of Ireland who served and died in that terrible conflict.
