Aggravated burglary

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information after a report of an aggravated distraction style burglary at residential premises at the Gregg Street area on Tuesday July 29.

Shortly before 3pm, it was reported that three unknown males claiming to be working for the water service forced entry to an apartment in the area. An elderly resident believed to have been in her 80’s was not injured during the incident, but was left badly shaken. It is believed the males made off with a sum of money during the incident.

A 29 year old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary at the Market Square area on Tuesday night. The man is currently helping police with their enquiries.
