Also travelling to compete is Baillies Lane, one of Scotland’s top melody flute bands.

Esch band, who will be identified by a number and not their name to ensure all round fairness, will play their ‘own choice’ pieces for approximately twenty minutes.

The following bands have confirmed their participation in the competition - Ballylesson Old Boys, Brookeborough, Ballyhalbert FB, Omagh Protestant Boys, Pride of Ballinran, Killkeel, Sir George White Men Broughshane, Skeogh, Shankill Road Defs, SOW Cookstown, Somme Mem, Bangor and the Scottish band Baillies Lane Corp of Drums, which will ensure a very high standard of melody flute playing.

For anyone interested in flute playing of any type, and the general public, this competition, which is thought to be one of Northern Ireland’s top indoor melody flute competitions, should not be missed.
