Another successful year for Cancer Research Coleraine Branch

THE Coleraine Cancer Research committee held its annual general meeting last Monday.

Area Volunteer Manager, Sarah Bulger, updated committee members on the progress of early bowel cancer detection.

She also congratulated the Coleraine branch on their enthusiasm and another extremely successful year of fundraising in Coleraine.

This year a total of 21,000 has been raised, with money coming from a range of events and sources.

Particular thanks must go to Miss Lorraine McNabb who raised 2,350 from her sponsored walk and also to Castlerock Glasgow Rangers Supporters Club for their continued support and a donation this year of 3,000

Events planned for this year include a flag day in Coleraine, this Saturday and a sponsored walk on Monday, June 21 - details will be announced shortly.

The committee members wish to express a sincere thank you to everyone who has made any contribution, large or small, in the last year to help achieve this great total.
