Appeal for local volunteers

As The NSPCC Young Witness Service celebrates 15 years of supporting children through the court process, the charity is appealing for even more people in Lisburn to volunteer to help local child victims and witnesses.

The free, independent and confidential service is offered to children and young people under 18 who have to attend court as witnesses. The Young Witness Service operates in every Crown, Magistrate and Youth court in NI, and needs more volunteers across all of its sites to keep this vital service running. Most of the volunteering commitment will be during normal working hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening work, and you will be given extensive training and support.
