Ballycastle and Moyle police round-up

OIL STOLEN: Sometime between Friday 5th October and Friday 19th October approximately 250 litres of home heating oil has been stolen from a property on Harbour Road, Ballintoy. Police are investigating.

ARREST: A 26-year-old man has been arrested for excess alcohol and driving whilst disqualified following a road traffic collision on Loughareema Road, Cushendall, in the early hours of Friday 26th October.

BIKE STOLEN: A child’s mountain bike has been stolen from the rear garden of a property along Leyland Road, Ballycastle, sometime between 5pm on Thursday 25th October and the morning of Friday 26th October. The bike is a VIBER and the frame is red and black in colour.

DRUGS CHARGE: A 26-year-old man has been charged to court for possession of Class B drugs. Police observed the male discard items along Leyland Road, Ballycastle.

HEATING OIL: Approximately 450 litres of home heating oil has been stolen from a property on Runkerry Road, Bushmills. The oil is believed to have been stolen sometime between Saturday 29th September and Saturday 27th October.

ARREST: A 27-year-old man has been arrested in the early hours of Sunday 28th October, Ann Street, Ballycastle, for criminal damage and common assault.

OFFICER ASSAULTED: A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, common assault and resisting police. This follows an incident in which a police officer was assaulted in the Diamond area of Ballycastle in the early hours of Sunday 28th October. The man has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police.
