Bath Road application rejected by members

Council is to write to the Planning Service outlining their objections to a planning application for 24 apartments at Bath Road in Portrush.

The application has not come before Council yet, but at Tuesday night’s meeting, a letter from Independent councillor Christine Alexander asked Council to write to Planners objecting to the application. Speaking at the meeting, councillor Alexander said that the application would have an ‘adverse impact on the aims and visions of the Portrush Regeneration Strategy’. Portrush UUP councillor Norman Hillis agreed. A proposal by councillor Alexander that Council should write to Planners outlining their objections was agreed.
