Bogus callers in Cookstown ‘spoke with southern accents’
A PSNI spokesperson said: “There was a report that two men were seen walking up the side of a house in the Drumenny Road area of Cookstown, sometime between 11am and 12pm on Friday, March 27.
“One man was described as being tall and broad wearing a yellow high visibility jacket with no writing on. “The second was small and wore a blue jacket. Both spoke with a Southern accent. They informed the householder that they were checking wires.

Hide Ad“Police are keen to hear from anyone who noticed anyone matching this description or saw a blue saloon car, possibly a Peugeot seen in the area at this time.”
