Busy weekend for Craigavon PSNI

Craigavon PSNI had a busy weekend with several people arrested for drink driving and one husband returned home after falling out with his wife.

Taking to Twitter Craigavon PSNI revealed that police in Lurgan arrested a 19-year-old man for driving whilst unfit and possessing Class B drugs.

A spokesperson said: “Officers were conducting a vehicle checkpoint on Antrim Road around 9.45pm on Saturday, 10 October.

“After stopping a Renault Clio car the male driver was searched and three small bags of cannabis were recovered.

“The 19 year old male was subsequently arrested. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.”

There were two arrests for driving under the influence in Banbridge and Portadown.

And the PSNI said they had received a report of concern about the whereabouts of a 27-year-old man around 11.45pm on Saturday, 10 October.

“The male was located safe and well within a short space of time and returned to his home.”

In a separate incident a driver was reported to the PPS in relation to suspicions there may not have been business insurance for delivering fast food.
