Cash stolen during burglary of charity shop in Magherafelt

Police are appealing for information following two burglaries, including a charity shop that occurred in the Rainey Street area of Magherafelt.

Sometime between the evening of Wednesday 11 May and 8am on the morning of Thursday 12 May, a fast food shop and a charity shop were broken into. Money and electronic equipment were stolen from the fast food shop while a sum of cash was stolen from the charity shop.

Constable Gallagher said: “I would ask for anyone with any information about these incidents to contact Magherafelt Police Station, quoting reference number 202 of 12/05/16. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
