Church explains loan request
The church told the ‘MAIL’: “The Vestry has been reviewing the finances of the church to try to eliminate a projected deficit over the next few years.
“The church currently pays approximately £5,000 in bank interest each year and this is likely to rise.

“The loan will be repaid upon request.”
One parishioner had contacted the ‘MAIL’ to criticise the move saying Shankill Parish were ‘robbing Peter to pay Paul’. “The problem is not being resolved, simply put off,” they said.
