Larne Borough Council says that it has an “excellent record of environmental performance and is committed to continually improving this”.

Employees will be presented with reports on council savings on fuel, energy and waste during the past four years and given advice on how they can contribute to further savings.

During Environment Awareness Week, employees attended environmental awareness sessions to build on energy saving awareness and to encourage changes at work and in the home. They were also given tips on how to save energy.

Employees were further encouraged to complete a housing energy check on Power NI’s website www.powerni.co.uk which identifies areas of their home which needs attention such as loft insulation.
