Driver produced breath test more than six times over drink driving limit

The PSNI have arrested a driver who provided a roadside breath test far exceeding the legal limit.

A police spokesperson confirmed the arrest was made in Cookstown after the test revealed a reading more than six times the limit.

“This motorist providing a reading at the roadside of 215 - over six times the legal limit.

“They will now be spending a night in custody. This will be followed by a difficult conversation with the local magistrate,” the spokesperson added.
