Hate crime assault is probed

Shortly before 3:05am, it was reported that a male was assaulted by an unknown group of males at licenced premises in the area. The male received facial injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

At this stage, police believe the incident may have been a hate crime. Enquiries are continuing.
