Police investigating dissident republican activity are searching a forest on the outskirts of Londonderry.

"Detectives from PSNI's Serious Crime Branch are conducting searches in Learmount Forest Park in Claudy, Co Londonderry today (Tuesday August 15) in relation to ongoing investigations into dissident republican activity," said a PSNI spokesperson.
