Vehicle damaged by furniture on M2

Police have issued an appeal for dash cam footage after damage was caused to a vehicle after it collided with furniture on the M2 at the weekend.

Detailing the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: ”On Saturday, January 30 at approximately 6pm, Roads Policing officers from Steeple attended reports of furniture lying on the M2 northbound near Yorkgate.

“Unfortunately, damage was caused to a passing vehicle. If anyone has any dash cam footage of the vehicle this fell off, can you please contact police, quoting incident 1280 30/1/21.”

The Times reported last month that a section of the M2 northbound was closed due to a vehicle fire.
