The drama society handed over a total of £3,000, the proceeds of the play, to MSF Ireland, which provides international medical health care. Members treated the release of this play as a matter of urgency, after reports of the Ebola crisis flooded in.

Lia Paul and Alice Sachora from MSF Ireland spoke passionately about the work of MSF and expressed their appreciation for the donation. They have a small base in Ireland, with just six full time staff and 15 members ‘in the field’, who are currently providing humanitarian aid in Ethiopia, Haiti, Central African Republic, Sierra Leone, Uzbekistan and Jordan.

The Departure Lounge was a sold out performance, and Stage Aid were incredibly grateful to the local community for their generous support, and extended their gratitude to The Golden Crust bakery in Lurgan, who donated cakes and traybakes for the performance.
